Please find below a document detailing information on homework at Dr Thomlinson Middle School. The school issues a homework timetable at the beginning of every academic year.  This can be found at the end of the homework policy statement below.

Homework was a subject of one of our Parent Forums. Through our discussions with parents we decided to reduce the amount of homework (by 30 minutes) in each Year Group. We also decided to introduce a transition homework timetable for our pupils starting in Year 5 – Year 5 only receive English and Maths homework throughout their first term at our school. Parents also wanted a clear idea of when homework would be set, therefore we devised the homework timetable attached.

We realise that homework can sometimes be difficult for children. If your child is experiencing difficulties with the homework they have been set then please get in touch with the school.
