Well done to our Year 7 football team who played Ovingham in the County Cup on Tuesday. Our team played very well against a strong side and were unlucky to lose 0-6 – a score that did not reflect the balance of play.
Wednesday saw the second First Schools Sports Festival of the academic year. Our Year 8 Sports Leaders worked with children from our neighbouring First Schools on improving their Multi Skills. The most popular game was “Domes and Dishes”. Mr Heath was very impressed with the enthusiasm of all those who were involved.
On Thursday, our Year 8 took part in a Career “Speed Dating” event where they worked in groups looking at a number of possible future careers and talking to people in a range of employment. All the employers represented were very impressed with the attitude and behaviour of our children – Year 8 were really embracing the interdependent values of our curriculum.
